SNAP receives a variety of in-kind donations, including food, clothing, blankets, household items, apartment furnishings and gift certificates.

Food Bank

SNAP operates two food pantries, one in East Central Spokane, the second in Northeast Spokane. The pantries accept non-perishable commercially processed and packaged foods from individuals or groups (service clubs, schools, churches, businesses). These items are always appropriate for donation:


• Peanut Butter
• Canned Meats & Fish
• Canned Soups
• Canned meals
• Boxed meals
• Canned vegetables & fruits
• Pasta & Grains
• Personal Items - Shampoo, deodorant, toilet paper, toothpaste & soap.

Homeless Program

SNAP's Homeless Program is in need of items to help families build new futures. The program is in need of:

• Diapers
• Socks
• Gloves
• Toiletries, such as toothpaste and deodorant
• Bus Tokens
• Cleaning Supplies
• School Supplies
• Batteries
• Light Bulbs

Property Management Program

SNAP's Property Management Program is in need of items to help maintain our homeless structures and transitional housing units.

• Carpet Cleaning Machine
• Maintenance hand & power tools
• 2 Gas leaf blowers
• Vacuum cleaners
