Equal Housing Opportunity

This service helps low-income families reduce household costs by conserving energy and incorporating sustainable living practices. You will receive practical information and solutions through:

  • workshops
  • classes
  • community events
  • home visits

You will learn:

  • low-cost/no-cost methods of decreasing home energy bills and increasing comfort
  • basic home repairs
  • developing responsible relationships with utility vendors
  • benefits of conservation and recycling
  • environmentally safe cleaning methods

This program supplements both Weatherization and Project Share/Energy Assistance Programs. Funding is provided by Avista Utilities, Federal Department of Health and Human Services, Washington State Matchmakers, Department of Energy, Department of Ecology and Corporation for National and Community Service.
