Clerical assistance:

Food bank assistance:

  • Stocking shelves
  • Preparing food bags for clients

  • Unloading deliveries

Sack Dinner and Outreach

  • Help make sandwiches
  • Prepare sack dinners
  • Distribute dinners
  • Interact with participants
  • Clean-up
  • Pick-up and transport deliveries once per month
  • Help pack supplies for Sack Dinner, transport to meal site and help set up
  • Assist with Administrative work at SNAP office

Special Events and Fundraising:

  • Creating flyers brochures and posters
  • Assisting with events (auction, golf tournament, theatre, music festival, educational forums)
  • Assisting with quarterly festivals for homeless families

Teaching:

  • Life skills classes (from cooking basics to financial education)
  • Living Green Educators (environmental)

Interpreter Services:

  • Written and oral
  • All languages

Group service projects:

Americorps/VISTA opportunities:

  • Requires full time one year commitment
  • Stipend and medical benefits
